M4 MacBook Air Launch Is Less Than One Month Away

M4 MacBook Air Launch Is Less Than One Month Away: Here’s What We Know

The M4 MacBook Air model will wrap up Apple's focus with the new M-series chip that is already available with the MacBook Pro and Mac Mini.

Apple has done with its first big launch of 2025 in the form of the iPhone 16E model   and now all eyes are waiting for the next M4-powered Mac model to be announced.   The company unveiled its first M4-powered product in June last year with iPad Pro   2024 and in October we saw not one but three new M4 Mac products, which includes   the M4 MacBook Pro, M4 Mac Mini and the M4 iMac.

But the MacBook Air is a big fish in Apple’s large pond with many people eager to pick   up the Air for its lightness and the comparatively lower price tag.

M4 MacBook Air Launch News: What Reports Say

The report from Bloomberg this week claims Apple is getting the retail, sales and marketing team ready for the M4 MacBook Air launch in March. The company is already seeing the current MacBook Air units run out at stores and any refresh now looks unlikely with a new product imminent.

The biggest upgrade with the M4 chipset is that Apple is now offering 16GB RAM as the base model, which will aid in running the Apple Intelligence (AI) features on the Macs.

M4 MacBook Air Launch: New Design?

The M4 upgrade for the Air is unlikely to come with big surprises. The design of the MacBook Air M4 is expected to be the same as the M3 variant with its notched display. Having said that, you cannot deny that the M4 series will see a big bump in performance compared to the M1 and the M2 MacBook Air.

As for the new features, we expect the model to come with a notch display and MagSafe charging port while the design is identical to the Pro version. MacBook Air should be available in the 13 and 14-inch variants. It deserves the new 12MP camera, along with the reliable four-speaker sound system, up to 23 hours of battery life with the M4 silicone, and MagSafe charging.

The M4 Mac Mini is a sign that Apple wants to be competitive in the PC segment and we also got the M2 and M3 MacBook Air upgraded to 16GB RAM as the base model without any price hike. But expect the M4 MacBook Air to push the base price higher than current levels.
